Dragostea se dezvaluia lent

Dragostea se dezvaluia lent. Intre timp,
cineva a trait. Chiar mai multi. Etaj de etaj,
in orice firida, mijeau chipuri: se turnau copii,
fundatii de cladiri, se ascundea aur sub dale.
Tu erai forta alba a asteptarii, conul de lumina
deschis. Dragostea se dezvaluia lent: aceasta
cuprindere n vaz, transportul tuturor, pliati,
in arca translucida. Se foloseau de tine, linistiti,
sa i treci. Un Charon al lumii acesteia.
Traiau in draci. Se osteneau cu viata. Din trup
li se ridica fum. Isi dadeau pruncii la ore de chitara,
de acordeon. Pupau maini, sa treaca examene.
La proba, croitorul le acoperea cu stofe
soldul in ardere. Te asurzeau cu manele,
cu zgomot de picamer. Casele trebuiau ridicate.
Si tu i treceai cu barca transparenta, numai in somn,
in virtutea unui drept de libera trecere –
pentru care nu ei platisera.

The love was slowly revealing itself. Meanwhile,
someone lived. Even many. Level by level, in any
recess, faces were appearing: children were made,
foundations of buildings, gold was hidden under the
slabs. You were the white force of the expectation, the
open light cone. The love was slowly revealing itself:
this overlook, everyone’s transport, folded in the
translucent ark. They were using you, silent to pass
them over. A Charon of this world. They were living
in devils. They were taking great pains with life.
Smoke was rising from their bodies. They were
sending their children to guitar and accordion
lessons. They were kissing hands in order to pass
their exams. They were deafen you with gipsy songs,
cu a noise of pick-hammer. The houses should have been
arisen. And you were taking them with the translucent
boat, only in sleep, in the virtue of a free passing –
for which they hadn’t paid.
