Dragostea se dezvaluia lent

Dragostea se dezvaluia lent. Intre timp,
cineva a trait. Chiar mai multi. Etaj de etaj,
in orice firida, mijeau chipuri: se turnau copii,
fundatii de cladiri, se ascundea aur sub dale.
Tu erai forta alba a asteptarii, conul de lumina
deschis. Dragostea se dezvaluia lent: aceasta
cuprindere n vaz, transportul tuturor, pliati,
in arca translucida. Se foloseau de tine, linistiti,
sa i treci. Un Charon al lumii acesteia.
Traiau in draci. Se osteneau cu viata. Din trup
li se ridica fum. Isi dadeau pruncii la ore de chitara,
de acordeon. Pupau maini, sa treaca examene.
La proba, croitorul le acoperea cu stofe
soldul in ardere. Te asurzeau cu manele,
cu zgomot de picamer. Casele trebuiau ridicate.
Si tu i treceai cu barca transparenta, numai in somn,
in virtutea unui drept de libera trecere –
pentru care nu ei platisera.

Love reveals itself slowly

Love reveals itself slowly. Meanwhile
someone has lived his life. Maybe more.
Level by level, faces appear from every break:
they made children and foundations, they hid gold under the flags.
You were the white power of patience, the light cone.
Love reveals itself slowly: this horizon of sight, carrying
everybody in the translucent boat. They use you calmly,
to carry them. A modern Charon.
They enjoyed every instant. They got tired.
Their bodies steamed. They took their offsprings
to guitar or accordion classes. They kissed hands,
to pass exams. The tailor covered their burning
hips with fabrics. Their music and their handpicks
were deafening. They had to built houses.
And you took them in your translucent boat,
in their dreams only, by dint of a free passage right -
for which they hadn’t paid.
