in the dark, dive bombing into ears,
stealing sleep, carrying fatal charge.

Let me be a hair-line fracture in the slim
bone of a toe, shifting stride to shuffle
tumbling the proud edifice of the body.

Let me be a Lisbon flower girl
who slips a fresh carnation in the barrel
of a gun, and blooms a revolution.

De as fi un tantar singur ce vaneaza
in intuneric, m-as arunca in urechile-ti ca fulgerul,
furandu-ti somnul, prin atacul meu fatal.

De as fi o fisura fina in osciorul
unui deget, ti-as schimba mersul falos in tarsaiala,
prabusind al trupulu-ti mandru templu.

De as fi o micuta florareasa din Lisabona
as strecura pe teava pustii o garoafa invoalta iar petalele-i deschise ar naste o noua
revolutie.
