No wonder, Ms Dally,
the florist mistook your name for Mrs Dalloway

when you gathered sickle arm-
fuls of arum-

lilies, irises, delphiniums and lilac,
all that we’ve come to lack

since the flowering of modernism … Stand,
as an urn and vase shall always stand

on your étagère and music cabinet
or a kitchen unit,

over-
flowering with flowers and with greenery leafed over

to the leaf everlasting. Never endue
the sickly lotuses with their due.

Nu-i de mirare, dna Dally

Nu-i de mirare, dna Dally,
florarul ti-a confundat numele cu al dnei Dalloway

cand adunai secerate brate-
intregi de roade-

ale-pamantului, irisi, nemtisori si liliac,
tot ce-a ajuns sa ne lipseasca

de cand cu inflorirea modernismului ... Stai,
asa cum o urna si o vaza mereu vor sta

pe etajera ta si camera de muzica
sau aparatul din bucatarie,

supra-
inflorind cu flori si cu frunzis verde supra

frunzei nemuritoare. Niciodata nu imbraca
lotusii suferinzi cu hainele lor.
